Patchwork Coasters PDF Sewing Pattern
Put those pretty pieces of fabric you saved (you saved them, right??) to work by making them into colorful patchwork coasters with this PDF SEWING PATTERN.
These are super easy to make and if you haven't made patchwork before, these are a great project to get started!
Patchwork can be everything from a wonderful way to get really creative with your fabric combinations, to a super practical way to use up just about every bit of your favorite fabrics. It's an excellent sewing skill to cultivate and just a very fun and liberating way of sewing.
The pattern demonstrates how to foundation piece a classic Log Cabin configuration with free hand cut fabric pieces. Cutting the pieces free hand makes it go faster, works with the size of your fabric pieces, and is good practice to help improve your cutting skills.
And best of all, these coasters don't need the edges bound! This is a real time saver and since it's not easy to bind the edges of small items and have them turn out well, we'll just skip it for these coasters.
The pattern includes templates for 8-sizes of circles are so you can make a variety of coasters. The circle templates start at 4" and go up to 7.25" in diameter.
This document is a paper and ink friendly 11-pages: 5-pages text (in English) with color photos + 6-pages of black & white circle templates.
